Reflections on 'From Dawn to Dusk' (Saturday 14 October 2023)
Ola Gjeilo’s Sunrise Mass was a new challenge for YPC and made a stunning opening concert of the season along with the familiar favourite, Fauré Requiem.
Rohan Harron’s composition From Dawn to Dusk (world premiere) was an inspired piece in which the choir provided the dawn chorus.
Our soloists, Ann Wilkes and Charlie Murray both gave beautiful performances and Amici orchestra were superb as always.
We have welcomed several new members to YPC in recent weeks for whom this was their first concert as it was for Thom Meredith, our Musical Director and Alex Woodrow, our accompanist to whom we are hugely grateful for their inspirational leadership.
